SAND 10 Hull Assembly
Sought out by Wellington based yacht designer Sandy Munro, Marra Marine was approached to assemble the first hull of a new yacht design, the SAND 10.
The yacht hull, built from Oregon Pine and Yellow Cedar, resembles more the yachts from the 1930s and 40s than most modern composites yachts, but modern wood epoxy construction methods, computer design techniques and Marra Marine’s build quality led to a strong and fair hull, with clean lines and graceful overhangs that should last well into the next century.
