Marra Marine was established in 2018 by experienced boat builder Tim Marra and his wife Maddie. Having trained and worked under some of New Zealand's best boat manufacturers for more than a decade, it was Tim's dream to create his own boat building company catering to high-end composite and wooden vessels.

How we work

At Marra Marine we believe in great customer service as well as a great finish, so for each project we work closely with the client.

If your project is a refit or upgrade then Tim will visit and walkthrough your boat with you to assess its current state and discuss your requirements. After this we'll put together a quote. If your project is for a new build then we'll meet with you to discuss your ideas and then work with one of our trusted designers to create plans and give you a quote.

You'll be given a scope of work for the project showing how each stage will be scheduled and completed. During the build or refit we'll keep you in touch with how things are progressing and at what stage any payments need to be made.

If required we can help you make travel arrangements to get your boat to our base in Tauranga.
